Two meters apart was a small project I had set myself whilst under the strict restrictions the UK Government had set in place in May. Which meant that you could meet one member outside your household, outside and at two meters apart minimum.
My partner and myself had been struggling being apart, from December-March we had spent about a total of two weeks together whilst I was home from university and then the Government made it impossible to see each other until the end of May when we still could not hold one another. It was a strange experience seeing one another after so long apart and from what seemed like so far away. It almost felt wrong that I used the time to photograph ourselves for a university project. Insensitive to my partners feelings you could say. However my partner being the amazing person he is took it in his stride. He had drove over an hour after a twelve hour shift to stay for a coffee in my garden, whilst I took pictures of us being far away from one another. A very odd experience indeed.
