Print Auction

Updated: May 28, 2019

Second and third year photographic students began assembling in the social space at roughly 3pm.

We began setting up the space, rearranging the tables and chairs, putting out leaflets on the tables and helping set up the slideshow I had created.

I also helped with catering on the night, helping divide up the snacks and help by giving complimentary drinks to people as they entered. We also had to run out to the shops just before the event started as we had ran out of prosecco and orange juice, as it was so busy.

I was then asked about five minutes before the print auction began if I could help with the social media, specifically instagram.

So whilst helping with the catering I spent the evening uploading stories and posts full of information about the event.

The night was a great success and we made a lot more money than expected. People from within the college and from outside such as the Mayor of Plymouth came along and bid highly on some really great items from both students and photographic donators.

The night was extremely successful, we even needed to run to the shops and buy more prosecco as we ran out of complimentary drinks!

The night included visits from The Mayor of Plymouth, Lecturers, friends, family members and fellow students.
