Proposal Weird and Wonderful

My initial idea for the weird and wonderful brief is to create a cinematic type shot hugely inspired by Gregory Crewdson’s work. I would like to look into using masks in my work, as if capturing a still from a horror movie. I plan to take a few shots in the studio and maybe even the green screen in the media room. I then plan to sort out an official model and look at working on a scene. My first thoughts are to go out and shoot on an early morning and capture that eerie hue. It was suggested to me today to look into a few horror films and clips for inspiration, such as the adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary.

It was also suggested to me to look at a scene from American horror story. I would also like to go down a few other routes similar to this such as using prosthetics to play with how a model is seen, I was inspired by work from Petra Collins and prosthetics from Sarah Sitkin.

These are images I took with a pig mask that I purchased from a fancy dress shop, I would like to take more pictures in a better scene, with additional lighting to create a more cinematic look in my next shoot. As this was my first shoot in a small time frame I could not create my desired effect however it has given me inspiration on how I want to develop my idea further.
