How can we connect with and understand our older generations point of view if we do not listen to their past and their experiences? How can I form my own opinion of a

subject matter without taking the considerations of others?

To develop my understanding of feminism I decided to talk to my own family members about it. I wanted to hear about their experiences and their feelings on the subject of feminism. I want to take a series of images for a photobook. I want these images to be natural with influence from Richard Billingham’s, Ray’s a laugh and Larry Sultan’s, Pictures from home.

I want the viewer of my work to feel as though they were almost part of the interview process and feel a more personal connection to my family through the photos and it might help them relate to their own family or family experiences.
