Mapping out my career objectives helps me to align my ambitions with realistic goals for success in my career and/ or chosen artistic field.
Having a predetermined strategy equips me to notice and maximise any potential opportunities that come my way.
My five-year career plan will reveal what I value most in your career and future. It is a way for me to plan and invision my future and my future self. It helps me to understand where I currently am and how I can achieve my goals within the near future. I began my five year plan in February 2019. In my current mindset I will be making a lot of work and spending more time analyzing what makes me a good artist.
Within the next five years I would like to be completely settled down with my future clearly mapped out. I may already be thinking about my future but I am making sure I am living in the moment and taking every opportunity I am given at the time.
This is why I have decided that within my five year plan, I would include my other ambitions outside of study and work. For example how I plan to travel and my dreams of owning my own home by the age of 24.
Some Questions to ask myself:
What does success mean to me and what does it look like?
Looking ahead to after graduation, what do I want to be doing?
What do I want to be known for?
Where will I work, will this have an impact on my productivity?
What will my ideal work day look like and what will I be doing each day to improve?
What will I do that will make me proud?
Why do I want to do what I do?
Why is this so important to me?
Is there anything holding me back?
How can I overcome these problems?
